Itinerary
Day 1. Hanoi – Tam Dao (D)
Arriveat Noi Bai International airport, transfer to Tam Dao National Park. If your flight arrives early, after check-in, go for birding aroundTam Dao town in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at Mela Hotel.
Day 2. Tam Dao (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching following the trails to the water tank and second Tam Dao.
Packed lunch. Breakfast and dinner at Mela Hotel
Day 3. Tam Dao (B/L/D)
Full day birding up to TV tower trail and down to the National Park Headquarters.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Mela Hotel
Highlight species: Grey Laughingthrush, Chestnut Bulbul, Black-chinned Yuhina, Striated Yuhina, Fork-tailed Sunbird, Short-tailed Parrotbill, Red-billed Blue Magpie, Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Green Cochoa, Rusty-naped Pitta, Blue-naped Pitta, White-hooded Babbler, Spot-necked Babbler, Coral-billed Scimitar Babbler, Greater Rufous-headed Parrotbill. Winter visitors that are possible here include Black-breasted Thrush, Japanese Thrush, Siberian Thrush, Fujian Niltava.

Day 4. Tam Dao – Xuan Thuy (B/L/D)
Early departure from Tam Dao to Xuan Thuy National Park, about 4 hours drive to the south-east. Afternoon birding on Ngan island.
Breakfast at Mela hotel.Lunch, dinner and overnight at Xuan Thuy National Park Guest House.
Day 5. Xuan Thuy National Park (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching on Lu and Xanh islets. Boat will be used for transfer from National Park to islets.
Packed lunch.Breakfast, dinner and overnight at Xuan Thuy National Park Guest House.
Highlight species: Black-faced Spoonbill, Spoonbill Sandpiper, Saunder’s Gull, Painted Stork, Black-tailed Godwit, Asian Dowitcher, Spotted Greenshank.

Day 6. Xuan Thuy – Cuc Phuong (B/L/D)
Early morning depart to Cuc Phuong National Park, about two and a half hoursdrive to the west. Check-in and make a short visit to the Primate Rescue Center. Afternoon birding in Bong area.
Breakfast at Xuan Thuy National Park. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Bong Sub-station (in some cases, if you prefer, we can arrange accomodation at National Park Headquarters, as there is no electricity at Bong)
Night-watch: Possibility of Brown Wood Owl, Spot-bellied Eagle Owl and Giant Flying Squirrel.
Day 7. Cuc Phuong (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching following the loop trail in Bong area.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Bong Sub-station
Night-watch: Possibility of Brown Wood Owl, Spot-bellied Eagle Owl and Giant Flying Squirrel.
Day 8. Cuc Phuong (B/L/D)
Full day birding following the Ancient tree trail and in Bong area.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight at Bong Sub-station.
Highlight species: Silver Pheasant, Grey-peacock Pheasant, Red-vented Barbet, Red-collared Woodpecker, Pied Falconet, Eared Pitta, Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, White-winged Magpie, Indochinese and Common Green Magpie, Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Hainan Blue Flycatcher, Black-browed Fulvetta, Rufous-throated Fulvetta, Limestone Wren Babbler, Stristram’s Bunting, Bianchi’s Warbler, Long-tailed and Silver-breasted Broadbill, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Grey-backed Shrike, White-browed Piculet. Winter visitors that are possible here include Black-breasted Thrush, Japanese Thrush, Fujian Niltava.

Day 9. Cuc Phuong – Hanoi – Bach Ma (B/L/D)
Early morning birding at the Botanic Garden, check out then drive back to Hanoi to take the flight to Hue and Bach Ma National Park.
Breakfast at Cuc Phuong National Park, lunch en route, dinner and overnight at Bach Ma National Park Guest House.
Day 10. Bach Ma (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching following the trails up to the summit. Packed lunch.
Dinner and overnight at Bach Ma National Park Guest House.
Day 11. Bach Ma (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching following the Crested Argus trail. Packed lunch.

Day 12. Bach Ma – Sai Gon (B/L/D)
Early morning birding around the National Park Headquarters. Transfer to Hue city, take the flight to Saigon, free time at leisure in the late afternoon.
Breakfast at Bach Ma. Lunch en route, dinner and overnight at Oscar Hotel.
Day 13. Cat Tien (B/L/D)
Early morning departure from Saigon, about three hours to Cat Tien National Park, check-in to guest house. Birding around National Park Headquarters in the afternoon.
Breakfast at Oscar Hotel. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Cat Tien National Park Guest House.
Day 14. Cat Tien (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching following the trails to Crocodile lake. Packed lunch.
Breakfast, dinner and overnight at National Park Guest House.
Mammal Night-Watch. Possibility of Wild Pig, Samba Deer, Civets, etc.as well as Brown Wood Owl and Spot-bellied Eagle Owl.
Day 15. Cat Tien (B/L/D)
Full day birding following the Heaven Water Fall trail. Packed lunch.
Breakfast, dinner and overnight at National Park Guest House.
Night-Watch. Possibility of Wild Brown Wood Owl, Spot-bellied Eagle Owl.
Highlight species: Germains Peacock-Pheasant, Green Peafowl, Orange-necked Partridge, Lesser Adjutant, Wreathed and Greater Hornbill, Bar-bellied and Blue-rumped Pitta, Red, Black and Banded Broadbill, Orange-breasted Trogon, Woolly-necked Stork, Siamese Fireback, Scaly-breasted Partridge, Grey-faced Tit-Babbler, Great Slaty Woodpecker, White-bellied Woodpecker, Heart-spotted Woodpecker, Pale-headed Woodpecker, Green-eared, Blue-eared, Lineated, Red-vented Barbet, Green Imperial Pigeon, Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Bronze-winged Jacana.
Day 16. Cat Tien – Bao Loc (B/L/D)
Morning birdwatching at the C3 and around park headquarter areas. Afternoon transfer to Bao Loc district.
Breakfast and lunch at Cat Tien, dinner and overnight at Seri Hotel, Bao Loc district, Lam Dong province.
Day 17. Bao Loc (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching with lunch box to De Nui San.
Breakfast, dinner and overnight at Seri Hotel.
Highlight species: Speckled Piculet, Orange-breasted Laughingthrush, Black-hooded Laughingthrush, Indochinese Green Magpie, Blue Pitta, Grey-headed Parrotbill, Yellow-vented and Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Long-tailed Broadbill.
Day 18. Bao Loc - Da Lat (B/L/D)
Morning birdwatching at Di Linh Pass, transfer to Da Lat, late afternoon birding around Dalat.
Breakfast at Seri Hotel. Lunch at Da Lat city, dinner and overnight at Golf 1 Hotel.
Day 19. Da Lat (B/L/D)
Full day birdwatching in the forest area around Tuyen Lam lake. Packed lunch.
Beakfast, dinner and overnight at Golf 1 Hotel.
Day 20. Da Lat (B/L/D)
Full day birding with lunch box to Langbian Mountain.
Beakfast, dinner and overnight at Golf 1 Hotel.
Day 21. Da Lat (B/L/D)
Full day birding with lunch box to Ta Nung valley.
Beakfast, dinner and overnight at Golf 1 Hotel.

Day 22. Da Lat – Sai Gon (B/L)
Early morning birding in Ta Nung valley, return to Saigon, transfer to Ho Chi Minh Airport for the flight, tour concludes.
Breakfast at Golf 1 Hotel, lunch en route to Saigon.

Price
The fee for this tour is $2.995 per person in double occupancy from Hanoi City. This includes all meals from dinner on Day 1 to lunch on Day 22, accommodation as stated in the itinerary, the internal flights from Hanoi to Hue and Hue to Ho Chi Minh City, ground transportation during the tour, gratuities, and guide services provided by the tour leaders. It does not include airfare from your home country to Hanoi City and return from Ho Chi Minh City, airport departure taxes, visas, alcoholic beverages, special gratuities, telephone calls, laundry, or items of a personal nature. Rates are based upon group tariffs; if the tour does not have sufficient registration, a small-party supplement may have to be charged.
The single supplement for this tour is $569. You will be charged a single supplement if you desire single accommodation, or if you prefer to share but have no roommate and we cannot provide one for you. Please note that singles may not be available at all locations. This has been taken into consideration in our costing
